MinebeaMitsumi MM1217 integrates an operational amplifier and a comparator, achieving extremely low offset voltage while operating from a single power supply. The use of a single supply allows the device to operate from the voltage provided by two batteries. By combining the operational amplifier and the comparator, the IC can amplify the electromotive force of a thermocouple and detect ignition based on the amplifier’s output, without requiring additional external components. The low offset voltage significantly improves the accuracy of ignition detection.
